3780 protocol is a micro-to-mainframe or PC to PC communications program initially developed by IBM that replaced their earlier 2780 file transfer (punch card) protocol.  

Both 2780 and 3780 are known as Bi-synchronous Remote Job Entry (RJE) Protocols. 

Besides handling typical RJE industry needs, CTI's FastSync® 3780 software has been enhanced to support the sophisticated and specialized E-commerce market environment whose software houses require highly distinct interface capabilities along with dynamic scripting language capabilities. 

Depending upon the particular FastSync product, it runs within either various DOS and Microsoft Windows environments operating systems.
