The GM/BARS (Billing and Accounts Receivable System), works through the EDS ELIT^TM mailbox system, and is designed to reduce data-entry errors and speed up the time between invoicing and receiving payment. The system accelerates the billing cycle into General Motors for timely payments to aid your company's cash flow.

Here are some tips to make your GM/BARS interface easier to use...

Site Preparation: Install a standard dial-up (switched) POTS phone line.
When using the CTI SyncPack2000e package, make sure you place a comma in your dial-up command within your BARS.CMD file. For example, .CALL,1,248-370-1843. You need the short pause in your dial-string (see the comma after the 1 above) otherwise the Host computer is too slow to react to your call.
The files you send are TEXT files, but the lines must have exactly 294 characters. For your Editor, use the old DOS EDIT program (NOT a Windows editor such as Notepad).
