With Cleo HLLAPI you can write easy-to-use "front ends" to your 3270 applications making host access faster, friendlier and more transparent for your UNIX users. These front-end programs can automate repetitive tasks such as login and routine data transfers. They can also help mask cumbersome host operations from users. Cleo HLLAPI is compatible with IBM's OS/2 Extended Edition High-Level Language Application Program Interface (EHLLAPI).

In a typical installation, Cleo 3270 SNA/SDLC runs on a LAN-based UNIX server with LAN-attached clients using TCP/IP Telnet sessions or other remote login methods to access the package.  These clients can be ASCII terminals or PCs emulating terminals.   Alternatively, you can attach terminals or PCs directly to your UNIX systems through their asynchronous ports.  A third SDLC option: With Cleo SNA Server, you can link your LAN-based Windows and UNIX workstations to one or more SNA hosts through your UNIX servers.  Please contact our sales staff to obtain more details.
