| Unattended
Operation With Cleo
3780Plus, you can write simple scripts that run your batch transfer applications
automatically, at any time, with no user interaction required. You can, for example,
specify unattended transmissions at night or on weekends, when dial-up communications
charges are reduced. Whatever you do with Cleo 3780Plus interactively, you can also
do in unattended mode. That's because all of the software's commands are available
to you in the scripting language. Our scripting language supports
"branch" logic, allowing you to use "IF...THEN..." commands within
your scripts. You can even branch to other programs based on exit codes. |

Integrated Application Program Interface
We offer Cleo 3780Plus with an
optional Integrated Application Program Interface (IAPI), providing you with
block-by-block control over the data you transmit and receive. Our IAPI lets you
access data directly from the communications line, in real time, while preserving all of
Cleo 3780Plus' powerful file transfer capabilities.
Perpetual Log File
Cleo 3780Plus maintains a complete on-line
record of your 2780/3780 communications activities in its perpetual log file. This
handy tool allows you to review all past Cleo 3780Plus transactions - from your very first
session to the one you've just completed.
Modem Support
Cleo 3780Plus is designed for use with
almost any major external synchronous modem and selected internal modem boards.
Modems can be full or half duplex. Cleo works with short-haul modems, two or
four-wire leased lines, and standard dial-up telephone connections. Line speeds of
up to 38.4Kbos are supported. |
Flexible
Configuration Cleo 3780Plus
provides a wide range of configuration options, allowing you to fine-tune your
communications environment at any time - from session to session, or even within a
session. Configuration changes in one session can be stored to disk and re-used in
later sessions. This is specially useful in multi-host installations, where you may
use a different configuration for each host.
Custom Screens and
Messages
You can easily modify your Cleo 3780Plus
screens and messages, if your applications demand it. For example, you can translate
screens and messages to other languages for international use. Alternatively, you
can, disable any or all screen messages for seamless integration with your other
applications. You can even customize Cleo 3780Plus' ASCII-to-EBCDIC translation
tables, when required. |
