SYNCcable+ allows synchronous communications through your standard asynchronous serial ports using Cleo's 3780Plus BSC software.  Its built-in processor and memory handle the Async-to-Sync protocol conversion.

  • Cleo 3780Plus is a world's leading 2780/3700 BSC RJE communications solution, with over 100,000 installations.  It's used for EDI, electronic claims filing, electronic funds transfer, POS polling, and other batch transfer applications.  Cleo 3780Plus works with a wider selection of computer and operating systems than any other 2780/3780 BSC RJE package.  It also provides many more advanced features and capabilities.

    Cleo 3780Plus software supports SADL (Synchronous AutoDial Language) developed by Racal-Vadic.  Bisynchronous SADL is used to configure and autodial the OKIDATA 208 modem and change several of the programmable options.  These options are listed below/.

    *  These values are set according to the autodial command given by the user.

    The modem setup string is controlled by message #131 of the video.ovr file.  An alternative setup string may be sent by modifying the sequence between the ^B and ^C characters in message #131.  The default modem string is: O2311221112.  3780Plus changes these parameters for each separate autodial sequence.  You should note that there are many more options that may be changed.  We have left these unchanged so that you may set them according to your specific situation.

    You should be aware of several special options listed below which will significantly impact the performance of your communication session:

    #16.  Satellite Option

    #17.  Clear to Send Delay

    #20.  Line Current Disconnect

    #16.  Must be ENABLED if you are on a satellite link.

    #17.  Should be long if you are using long distance communications.

    #20.  Should be ENABLED so software can sense when the line goes down.
