SYNCcable+ allows synchronous communications through your standard asynchronous serial ports.  Its built-in processor and memory handle the Async-to-Sync protocol conversion.

SYNCcable+ eliminates the need for an internal synchronous interface card, saving a slot in your computer.  You simply attach it to your system's asynchronous tty or COM port - or to your terminal server - then connect it to your synchronous modem or local system.  In minutes, you have a complete synchronous communications solution.

SYNCcable+ supports line speeds of up to 56Kbps synchronous and 115Kbps asynchronous, and is bus-independent.

When used with Cleo® 3780Plus®, SYNCcable+ provides a complete, reliable IBM 2780/3780 BSC RJE communications solution.

Installation of SYNCcable+ is easy. You simply attach it to your system's asynchronous tty or COM port, or to your terminal server, then connect it to your synchronous modem or local system. In minutes you have a complete synchronous communications solution.

Note this special feature:  Clock sourcing within the SYNCcable itself eliminates your need for a synchronous modem eliminator, allowing you direct connections to other local systems including direct 3745 Front End Mainframe connections! The SYNCcable+ diagnostic LED helps identify and correct field problems and makes installation easy, while its regulated power allows use of unregulated power supplies.

Special Adapter Cable:  If you require an RJ-45 connection (for example to a Xylogics Terminal Server), you will require a special Async Adapter Cable, Part Number 6003075.  This cable handles the RJ-45 to DB-25 connection/conversion and costs $30 (US$) each.
