The Wal-Mart Access Program (starting at $1,595) from CTI includes 3780 Bi-Synchronous software and Synchronous Modem Hardware for an easy installation.

In late 1998 when Wal-Mart decided to move all their suppliers and vendors to a direct connection, Metro Marketing (Beng Lu) contacted CTI and purchased our SyncPack2000e® package.  In January of 1999 Metro Marketing was the first GE DeskTop EDI customer to integrated the GE DeskTop*EDI software with CTI's SyncPack2000e and it's FastSync 3780® software in order to obtain their Wal-Mart Purchase Orders directly from Wal-Mart.

Checking the "Normalized" boxes replaces CR/LF (carriage return and line feed) sequences with a tilde.  The tilde segment terminator is standard in EDI.

GE considers it the responsibility of the communications program to handle these segments rather than the EDI program itself.
