Checking your IRQ and I/O Modem Settings (Windows 95/98 System) |
Your PC may have many modems installed - if there's an internal conflict, you will need to know the Interrupt Request (IRQ) and Input/Output (I/O) Range that your modem is set to. Here is how to check these settings...

| Next, double click on Ports (COM & LPT) selection... |

| Next, select the particular COM device you want to check. For example, we have selected as our example the Communications Port (COM1). |
