Tweaking the Windows 95
and 98
Systems for some 3780 Bi-synchronous Communications (BSC) Linkages
For DOS (Non-GUI) 3780 Users |
|
It is usually best to make certain adjustments to the Windows
environment to maximize the performance of the Hayes® OPTIMA
Business modem when using their AutoSync protocol.
Fix #1 - Adjusting Idle
Sensitivity |
If you are experiencing problems like being knocked-off the
line, the connection is being dropped, etc., try this fix:
- Right click on the desk-top icon you are using to kick-off your
program.
- Select Properties. You will see several different Tabs.
- Select the Misc. tab.
- Uncheck the "Allow Screen Saver" box, then
- Move the Idle Sensitivity bar to Low.
- Select OK.
- You are done.
If these directions do not seem to work in your individual case,
please contact CTI (208-769-7000) and ask for Technical Support.
